Sam Kassahun
Director of Capital Markets
As the Director of Capital Markets at Legacy Benefits, Sam is responsible for capital raising efforts in the asset class and introducing clients to the company’s origination platform.
With over 8 years of experience in financial services, Mr. Kassahun has worked with emerging and established companies, such as Royal Bank of Canada and Merrill Lynch. Throughout his career, Sam has also held positions specializing in capital markets, wealth management, and institutional sales.
Prior to joining Legacy Benefits, Sam worked at ProFunds Group, where he consulted on and introduced clients to financial products linked to equities, fixed income, and commodities. He established and maintained relationships with Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Private Banks and Registered Investment Advisors. Sam contributed to the company’s growth by developing, promoting and implementing investment solutions for the company’s institutional clients.
During his tenure at Royal Bank of Canada, Sam generated investment ideas for portfolio managers and worked closely with sales and trading teams to prospect and service mutual fund managers.
Sam received his Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Maryland in International Business and Logistics, and a Masters of Science in Finance from Baruch College. Additionally, he holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
